So I was recently employed by my dad to do some social media work for him and his companies (my idea). I began a Bar Louie twitter account along with creating a blog.
After getting everything started and getting a hang of the technology for the two programs, I realized... I need a blackberry.
In the social media world it is necessary to be constantly connected. I find myself being somewhere and wanting to tweet. But my phone is old and sucks and I want a Blackberry.
However, I do believe that I am starting to make a difference in my little social media world. I have had many followers @reply me and send me direct messages about the Bar Louie locations that they visit. And this makes me really excited and makes me want to tweet more.
What it basically comes down to is the need to be constantly connected and I think anyone who plans to be involved in the social media world needs to be as well. Especially for businesses.

I love this. I find it so interesting that all these businesses are beginning to network so predominantly now. Its a great way to keep the public informed and up to date. And I believe that a blackberry is very important when you get a job like this one and its a great excuse to get a new phone. But congrats on the new job!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I was just on vacation for a week and checked my mail, Facebook, Twitter and everything else for the first time last night. I felt so out of the loop! I will definitely check out your sites. I celebrated my 21st birthday at Bar Louie last week and loved it. My friends and I were extremelly impressed with how nice and accommodating everyone was to us.
